What is smart on fhir?
SMART on FHIR is the standard that lets a third-party application launch inside an EHR with the patient context and authorized data access.
A SMART on FHIR app opens from the patient chart, receives an authorization token scoped to specific data, and reads the context it needs (demographics, address, encounter) without a custom interface build.
VectorCare's SMART on FHIR framework is already published for Epic and other FHIR-capable EHRs, which is why a DispatchCare referral can launch from the chart without an EHR project.
